1. It has refined my skill of writing and organized my thoughts which were running riot in my head.
2. It made me reach the intelligentsia of the world.








I have written 5 books in English and 1 book titled "Vadmulla Teacher" in Punjabi for Punjabi reading people of the world.

Life direction

 

(to 4 kids of slum dwellers).

 

I remember the day about 2 years back on which 3 little boys of the age of 6-7 years came to my home and knocked the door asking for alms.

 

I made them sit inside my office housed in my house.

 

They were very happy to sit on chairs.

 

 

Then I started lecturing them.

 

“Begging is a bad thing in this world. You are young children, gift of God. Why don’t you do something and go to schools?”

 

“Our parents are poor labor and they do not send us to school. Rather they ask us to beg and bring money. Father drinks a lot and mother quarrels a lot.” The youngest one told.

 

“Go and tell your parents we want to attend school.”

 

“Uncle on the name of school, papa starts beating, mother starts weeping.” Another one replied.

 

“Ok then don’t beg but do business.”

 

“Business!” All were looking towards one another in awe struck surprise.

 

“Yes, business.”

 

“But how can we do that. We don’t have money?” One of them said.

 

“Ok I will give you money.”

 

Next day I found the small kids sitting outside my door.

I came out and asked them to come inside. They did as directed.

 

They told me :

You were telling about business.

 Yes! Business.

 

I made 2 of them sit on my scooter and one stood in the front.
We went to the market, bought sugar canes from the market.
20 for Rs. 100/- . The vendor gave them 22 .
I told them : Now sit and sell for Rs. 10 each.
They sat whole of the day. They were smiling and laughing.
It was a new experience of useful life.

 And  by the evening all pcs of sugar canes were sold.

All the kids were very happy. Directly, the came to my home and reported like disciplined soldiers that they have sold all the sugarcanes. They were dancing and smiling. 

They had Rs. 220/- in total.
They earned profit of Rs. 120/-
Returned my Rs. 100/- and kept another Rs. 100/- with me for future business.
Rs. 20/ - they took for their own spending and enjoying.

 

They were very happy because today they had experienced new life of self-pride.
No abuses. No slaps from the people they begged from.

 

Whenever they met me  during these 2 years,  I encouraged them to go to school.

 

After 2 years:

 

They met me today at about 6.30 pm.

They met me and asked for note books and pencils.
I hugged them tightly and kissed them on the head saying :
"I am very happy you have joined school."

 

They told me further:
They were offered drugs by someone but they refused. "Very good", was my reply.
Now they go to temple too daily.

 

My eyes went up          to thank God.
I felt that small souls are now on the right track of life.
They will become responsible citizens.
Now no power on Earth can make them bad or criminals.
Their right consciousness is their guard. They need none to guide them now.
They now know what is "wrong" and what is "right" for them.

Drugs are the worst. Going to temple and living in the company of the good people itself is step towards "righteousness" and "spirituality".

The light of the consciousness has lighted in their minds.

 

They bought note books, pencils and erasers.

It all cost Rs. 170/- for 4 sets for 4 tiny tots.

 

They further told me that they are now asking all other children in their “Behra” ( the small houses or place where migratory poor labor lives) to go to school. School is a good place for children.

 

I was feeling happy:

I have got 4 messengers for spreading the message of goodness and education among tiny tots.

They have a long life to spread this message. Thank God – the merciful protector of ALL.

TALKING ETIQUETTES

 

1. Talk to communicate.
2. Talk low.
3. Talk slow. Last said lasts long.
4. Talk what is necessary.
5. Listen more. 2 ears 1 mouth. Ratio 2:1 66% and 33 %   but in real use 1:2.

6. Use age and designation appropriate vocabulary.
7. Always keep in mind “how the tone and words” must please the listener.
8. Use non-verbal communication and gestures to convey the message.
9. Talk to convey the message and not the information.
10. Plan the talk before hand.
11. Discuss but don't argue. Arguments generate heat. Discussions throw lights on the issue and problems of the life are solved.
12. Tame self-ego to win over the other person you are talking to.
13. Be mindful that your talk is pleasing the listening person mentally not hurting.
14. Don't use hurting and hitting words and annoy others.
15. Mind it: Worst situation or thing of the world can be said in "best words". Develop this skill.
16. Your education, your status, your appearance consists of just 3% of your total personality. 97% is your soft skills and the behavior from which you earn real life reputation.
17. Listen to sweet and soothing music to develop soothing voice.
18. Emulate good manners from others. Educate yourself on this front.

A father who throughout life followed the principle " Learning is greater than wealth". Wealth when follows learning gives more pleasure than when it is master of man.

Our great father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi says: Wealth is lost, nothing is lost;

Health is lost something is lost.

Character is lost, everything is lost.

Son was young, full of energy. He was college-going. Everyday he argued with father that car, smart phone and costly gadgets are bought with money and hence money is greater than learning.

Father was aged, experienced and seasoned.

He was always in the look out of an opportunity to prove that "learning is master of wealth"

But he could not prove this to his young son. Daily arguments and demand of money by the son had vitiated the congenial environment at home.

One day, father got a chance to prove his point.

Father's friend had bought a very costly diamond ring for his daughter-in-law.

Father asked the friend to lend him that ring for a while. Friend readily gave.

Now father, gave the studded case of the ring to the son and told that it has cost Rs._______________________ . But the son argued,
" Papa, who fool will pay such a fatty sum of money for this empty case?"

"Exactly my dear son, everybody pays for the diamond inside this case not for the case."

Case is the box in which the diamond ring is placed.

"In the same way, learning is diamond and wealth is the case."

Son, though did not admit openly but agreed as was visible from his body language.

Right from that day, the son is focusing more on study and less on demands for costly gadgets.

Right advice.

 

Two computer engineers were talking:

One may be telling the other about the past.

The other engineer advised her:

Learning

Learning from 1st Class student

 

In my neighbor, elder sister came from school. Took off the clothes, took off the shoes and threw them on the bed.

Young mother felt annoyed. Heated arguments followed by a slap to the girl ensued.

As a lost resort to mend the ways of child's behavior and cultivate good habit of keeping the clothes in the cupboard on coming from school, mother invited an elderly lady from the neighbor.

Elderly lady, being the judge between mother and the daughter, started asking:

"Dear child, are you a good child or bad child."

"I am a good child," replied the child standing before the elderly lady as if answering to an advocate in a court.

"What are the symptoms of a good child" was the next question parried by the elderly lady.

"Good child comes from the school in time, takes off the shoes, takes off the clothes. Places the clothes inside the cupboard and does not make mess of clothes throwing them on the bed."

"Are you clothes at the proper place?"

"No grandma. They are not. I am sorry."

 

In between the young sister studying in 1st class jumped and said "Amma she knows what is good and thought is in the head. It will take sometime to be reality."

I was surprised to hear this reply from a student of 1st class.

and learnt a lesson. DO IT NOW.

 

Many elders spend the entire life saying "I think I can" but "Never have time to enjoy what they wish or do what they like."

 

FEAR has two meanings:

1. Fear everything and run. Makes person worried, unhappy, sad and keeps the worrier on toes.

2. Face everything and rise. Makes person worry free, happy and cheerful.

BIGGEST HURDLE IN ENJOYMENT: Opinion about me by others. How the others think about me. It is expression vs. impression problem. More mental than real. More we keep on coining mental view of the situations, more the worry, anxiety increases and turns out in real in the form of anger. Anger is one letter short of danger. D=death.

Focus and enjoy what you have. Rather than focusing on what you don't have and be unhappy.

World remembers those who live for their dreams. Self belief is the best belief. Don't indulge in proving to others. Be yourself and you will grow a lot in every term. Be it happiness or prosperity. Love what you do or do what you love. It will make you more happy.

Accept yourself in absolute totality, says Osho.

MATA VAISHNO DEVI PILGRIMAGE

A fortnight back, visit to the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi via Katra alongwith my OLD parents and others was a marvellous experience.

From Ludhiana I reached Pathankot by train. Stayed with my relatives overnight.


In the morning boarded another train called DEMU at 4.30 am from Pathankot (Punjab) in India. Cleanliness was excellent. Thanks to Indian Railways,


My parents were with me. That was a great feeling, satisfaction and best experience of my life.
The train crossed many tunnels and bridges.The scenery of hills, forests, waterfalls, flowing rivers was mesmerising. I was completely lost and enjoyed the journey.


At 11 am, the train reached Katra station.


The beauty of the station beats many international airports.

Electric elevator, international level open restaurant, A/c lounges, unique antique departmental store are the part of this newly inauguarated railway station by Shri Narender Modi, Prime Minister of India on 4th July,2014 built at a cost of about Rs.1154 crores.

We enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurants. Rates are very reasonable. Even the rates are less than the rates at restaurant in our cities.

Slept for a while, refreshed and deposited the bag of articles in the locker.

Visited the shrine on next morning. Arrangements by Government run Vishno Mata Shrine Board are excellent. All young and old walked without any fear. The entire route up to the shrine  is fully shaded.

I think, this is the nearest and the cheapest "health pilgrimage" from Delhi and surrounding areas.

Fresh, unpolluted air, pure water from the natural water falls energises the body and cleanses the body-systems.I will be spending 2 days every month here to keep my body fit.

Trains are aplenty from all stations like Delhi up to Jammu and Udhampur and even up to Katra. Even new trains from Bombay, Ahmedabad and other far off stations have started.

We enjoyed a lot. The cost was as if we have visited a Fun Park in our city.

Education Loan Cost Benefit Analysis.

 

 

 

A few years back, a petty shop keeper came to a mentor and expressed his inability to get his 3 daughters educated due to financial problem.

 

Shop Keeper: Sir, I am unable to pay the fee and college expenses of my eldest daughter who is studying in B.Sc. (Non-Medicatl)

 

Mentor:    Get your daughter well educated and she will support you financially.

 

Shop Keeper: But this is not possible sir because the cost of education is very high.

 

Mentor:     How much do you earn per month?

 

Shop Keeper:    Rs. 10000 to Rs. 15000 approximately and have to feed a family of 5 and pay the fee and expenses of 3 daughters. Two are in school and the 3^rd is in the college.

 

Mentor:  Do you file income tax returns?

 

Shop Keeper:  No sir.

 

Mentor: Start filing income tax returns.

 

Shop Keeper: My income is below taxable limit sir.

 

Mentor:  Even then file your returns.   (Shop keeper looks suspicious.)

However he agreed to file the returns.

 

After 3 years, the shop keeper came to the mentor and broke the news that her daughter has passed B.Sc. (Non-Medical) in first division. He brought sweets too.

 

Shop Keeper: Sir, I wish  she should do P.G.

 

Mentor: Which P.G?

 

Shop Keeper:  Any P.G.

 

Mentor: No any P.G. Ask her to go for MBA.

 

Shop Keeper: But sir for MBA, I don’t have money.

 

Mentor: How much can you spare for MBA?

 

Shop Keeper : (Thinking for a while)  About 1 lac, sir.

 

Mentor:  Right.  Now tell, ask your daughter to clear MAT (Management Aptitude Test)

 

She passed the MAT with very high rank and many institutions offered her admissions.

 

But the fee was a problem. Mentor searched for a good college for her. Efforts of the mentor bought one good college in South was having a fee below Rs. 3.00 lacs including hostel fee. The MBS course was residential. The college readily offered the admission to the brilliant student. Provisional letter of admission was sent through email on receipt of 5% of the amount.

 

Showing the receipt and admission letter to the bank, educational loan of Rs. 4.00 lacs was offered to the student.

 

After 2 years, she was MBA and was selected by a bank through campus interview. She joined the bank and is now working in the bank.

 

CBA (Cost-Benefit-Analyis)

 

Alone Graduation   -  job opening and promotion limited.

After MBA – job through campus interview.

 

Father’s investment     : Just Rs. 20000/-

Education Loan :           Rs. 4,00,000/-  ( No guarantor  or security required Only Income Tax returns required)

Rate of interest    :         10% approximately.

Repayment period :       7 years

Repayment starts:          6 months if the loanee is employed otherwise from the date of passing the final exam.

 

Now.
The daughter earns Rs. 20000/- (estimate) and pays back Rs. 5000/- per month

Balance Rs. 15000/- is retained by the family. Full support to father. Father is now having a Departmental Support.

 

After 7 years entire educational loan is repaid and full salary for the next 25 years is the students earning that comes to about Rs. 80 to 90 lacs during working period directly plus indirect income i.e. earning from the investment and re-investment.

 

Got loan of Rs. 4.00 lacs and earned Rs. 80.00 to Rs. 90.00 plus the best social prestige of carrying degree of MBA. Can any other investment pay this much?
