Dear friends

On the other hand, the children should also learn to respect their
parents' views because of the saying:

Love Your father and Mother as
They are someone who
hold you when you cry,
scold you when you break the rules,
shine with pride when you succeed,
and have faith in you even when you fail...

BLESSINGS

REAL GOD

PARENTS

GOD IS INVISIBLE PARENTS
PARENTS ARE VISIBLE GOD.

A student who was working in an organization whenever came to me always discussed about his parents. He always cursed and held his parents responsible for whatever in-capabilities or disabilities he had.

He never gave his parents the credit of his birth and initial education.

He always grumbled and felt that his parents are the cause of his all problems.

One day, I took shelter of a small story.

“You constructed a small house.”
“Right sir.”
“You spent money on all the material used in the house.”
“Right sir.”
“You let out this house to a tenant.”
“ Ok sir.”
“Now the tenant does not pay you rent.”
“No. He should pay. It is in-ethical and immoral too.”
“How will you feel?”
“ Very bad sir. I will sue him. I will scold him. I will throw him out of the house. For recovery of rent I will go to police etc. etc. “

“Now listen. Your parents build a house in the form of you. They spent their hard earned money to feed you, to send you to school when you even could not walk on your feet.
You are now 29 years. 29 years x 365 days they are with you. Is there any other person who has spent so many days with you in your life?”

“Has your mother or father ever thrown you out of their heart?”
“No sir.”
“Have you paid the rent of the house they have built?”
“I don’t know how can I pay them rent?”
“Respect them, use polite and kind words, talk sweet, listen to them, sit for a while everyday, support them till the end of their lives. Go anywhere you like. Pay respects to any deity or god. You will not get mental peace. Be with your parents – live and who are in heaven and you will feel invisible, inexplicable inner peace. No parents, no birth. No birth, no problems. Problems are nothing but telling the mind I can’t do. If you give the challenge to the mind, there will never be the problem. Every problem has a solution. You need to search and find with an attitude “I can.”

“This is the rent of your existence on this planet Earth.”
“Pay and enjoy peace or suffer for ever.” The student said: “Thank you, sir I understand.”

If you cannot control your thoughts and direct them to achieve what you wish to achieve,
you cannot control anything.

Disaster is the end.

A car without internal breaks is bound to bump anywhere with anything and meet with accident. BEWARE. Sieve your thoughts and direct them for your achievements.

No success is final and no failure is fatal. It is the courage to continue that turns failure into success.

A VISIT TO BHARUCH (GUJARAT)

I was invited by Dr. Bhagubhai Prajapati, B.Sc., B.Ed, M.Ed., Ph.D principal Narayan Vidalaya, Bharuch (Gujrat- India) for inspiring, counseling and motivating 1600 students of the school.

It was less and invitation from the school and more my intention to get my parents traveled one of the best cities of Gujarat.

My parents – mother and father – aged 75 and 79 respectively accompanied me. We stayed at Dr. Bhagubhai’s residence and enjoyed his hospitality. His daughter and wife really worked hard to keep everything tidy for us.

Dr. Bhagubhai is recipient of International Gold Star Award (Bangkok-Thailand) and Global Educationist Award (Tashkent- Russia)

From 12th December, 2012 to 18th December, 2012 half of the time I encouraged, inspired, counseled and  motivated the students from class 6 to class 12th. The students are very brilliant and have clear vision what they have to do in their lives. Kids loved shaking hand with me. They touched my feet and I blessed them with grand success and happiness.

I was surprised when I asked one student: What is your career plan, great daughter? She answered: I wish to be happy. I had never thought to hear this. Generally students wanted to be doctor, engineer, army man/woman, teacher etc. But this student had a novel career plan – to be happy in life.

This answer from a small kid forced my mind to think : Am I happy? What should I do to be happy? This unique answer has triggered many more thoughts in the mind.

In our daily routine, after inspiring, counselling and motivation contacts with the students at the school,  we enjoyed visiting:

  1. Kabir Badh where we enjoyed bathing in Narmada river.
  2. A temple built as replica of 5000 years old Sri Yantra on the side of Narmada and participated in the evening prayer for the world peace. Aarti and jyoti really rejuvenated us all.
  3. Very first day, we went to attend the evening prayer at Akshardham Temple at Bharuch. The architecture of the temple is worth appreciating and emulation for other temples.
  4. We – me, my parents, Dr, Bhagubhai and Mrs of Dr, Bagubhai enjoyed hot and cold water bath at Lusiana. It was energizing bath which immediately activated all of us. After the bath we felt quite relaxed and felt light.
  5. Chowkidhani at Surat is a unique concept translated to highlight the Rajasthani culture in Gujarat. Dinner served by smiling young men was delicious. We got ourselves photographed from a professional photographer wearing Rajasthani turban. A new experience indeed!
  6. At Vadodra, we saw the zoo and museum and enjoyed dinner with dosa.
  7. On the sea shore at Dahej, the industrial complex being developed by Gujrat Government is very vast and excellent. Wide roads, big industries, railing for lifting material from sea shore shipped by ships gave a panoramic view. We visited a ship-building factory. Huge ships under construction on one side and vast water bed on the other side gave a  view that pleased the watcher’s mind.
  8. Flowers, crops in vast fields in Dahej and alongside the road really added to our pleasure.
  9. On 19th December, 2012, my parents accompanied me to the school at 7 am and attended the prayer. They were the guests for that day prayer. Speeches were made in Gujrati languages in their appreciation, regular school prayer was made, songs were sung to welcome them and shawls were given as token to respect and love to all three of us. My parents were very happy and proud to receive these bouquets and presents from the senior teachers of the schools.
  10. Photos and videos were made and recorded DVDs were given to us. My parents say: This 19th December, 2012 is most memorable day of their lives. Before this , they were never hononoured like this.
  11. Enjoyed tasty food at the home of Mr. V.N.Dharia and Mrs. Dharia. Mr. Dharia is a former principal who worked as an excellent principal for over 35 years and is a director of a school now. He and hise wife both are very good humans. Every time I visit Bharuch, we are invited for dinner which is enjoyed to the fullest of our taste buds.
  12. I am feeling an inner peace which I had never experienced in life. My gods i.e. my parents are happy and this occasion has given them lease of about 10-20 years of life. Now they will be appreciating and talking with others of this occasion with great enthusiasm. Memories of the occasion will be a driving force to them. After all I am in the world due to my parents. When I was a new-born child, they gave me milk, food and paid for my education.  I just wished that they be happy. Now they are.
I have commented in one of the discussions of Harvard Business Review: This tour to Bharuch is memorable because my parents accompanied me. It was historic and most happiest moment of life when on 19th December, 2012, my parents and me were sitting on the stage along with principal and one senior teacher. About 1600 students of the school were sitting in front of us in colorful uniforms- little, small and , young. My parents were honored with shawls and flowers. My mother is illiterate and father just matriculate. Both were feeling on the top of the world at that time. I touched their feet in front of those 1600 students and later on many teachers in their speeches appreciate my this gesture and expressed that they were happy as I had brought my parents along with me.

Suzani - a type of quilt- which is a souvenir from Bharuch was presented to my parents.

This comment in Harvard Business Review  is being appreciated by the people all over world. I am receiving private and public accolades.   For all this:

I am thankful to  :

    • The Management of Narayan Vidayalaya, Bharuch and its chairman Mr. Hemant Bhai, intelligent visionary who is a benevolent person and loves humans and his kind family, son, daughter and wife that supports him in his good deeds.
    • Dr. Bhagubhai Prajapati, the live-wire and dynamic principal, wife and his brilliant daughter who is studying for .MBA (Fashion Designing)
    • Mr. V.N.Dharia and Mrs. Dharia.
    • The brilliant and cooperative staff – teaching and non-teaching- of the school.
    • Above all, the disciplined, intelligent and students with all round personality of the school.

PARENTS

Parents are so afraid of exciting pride and vanity in their children,

by the expression of their love, and approbation,

that a child sometimes goes sad and discouraged.

“There are times when the open expression of a father’s love

would be worth more than church or sermon to a boy.”

EDUCATION

.

It is no use giving children just education, you should give them joy.

“If you want children to grow well, try and give them as much joy as possible.

Merely giving them so-called education, is like putting manure at the roots of a tree which is without sunlight. ‘

The sun is strong, the rain is plentiful and in spite of the goats, the forests grow,

Likewise, in spite of errors of parents and teachers, children flourish.”

Work and Life Balance

Subodh was married to a beautiful dame from the countryside. His dame needed more time than he could devote. His performance and productivity as well as quality of decisions at work was going down and down. His partner was whining all the time for Subodh’s declining level of concentration at work. Neither wife nor partner was happy or satisfied. Subodh was at wits’ end.

All this was telling upon his health. Wife always found that Subodh remained busy in his work and not attention was paid to maintain relatives. Relatives too complained and remarked bitingly “All marry but they don’t ignore the relatives.” Wife wished that all family functions and marriages in the relations must be attended. She also wished that Subodh should sit and talk with her for hours. Subodh should have time to go to Cinema. All these were not being handled by Subodh comfortably. His health deteriorated and his behaviour became irritable.

For wife, it was another problem. Every body in the family was worried. Parents thought some super natural problem was there. They secretly started consulting “Babas” for finding a remedy to Subhodh’s problem. They were of the opinion some “bad soul” has affected their son. But wife was educated and did not believe much in this kind of “faith” or “faith healing”. Out of respect for elders, she used to company her parents-in-law. Many efforts by these “Babas” failed to bring Subodh to his normal behaviour.

As the time passed, the problem persisted and mental peace of the family members also flew. All – Subodh’s parents’-in-law, parents, brother and sister-in-law all were worried. Worry could be judged by just looking at their faces and their reactions to the situations in daily life.

Time passed and Subodh was blessed with a son. Another bond. Subodh was overburden.
He was unable to meet the continuous nagging by his wife for lack of time for her and her son. Subodh was finding himself torn in performing 3 dutites – one at work, 2nd handling wife and third keeping pace with time demands by elderly parents.

One day, he came across a business mentor. After attending the seminar, when he was having a cup of tea with the mentor, he reluctantly opened his heart to the mentor. Her eyes full of tears were telling more than words. Mentor, seasoned and matured person, advised: keep 11 months for work and full one month for home.

Subodh came home and asked his wife to come and sit with him. After settling down properly and making the wife ready to listen, he disclosed in a very polite way. “Today I met a very intelligent, mature and saint like person who had come to give a talk in the seminar.” Wife was listening with an awe. “I told him my problem of time. I told him that I wish to devote time to my family, but my work engagements do not allow me to do so. If I devote time to family, then work suffers and if I devote my time to work, then family suffers. What should I do sir?” Further Subodh confessed, “Very politely that gentleman told me. Your problem is a problem of life and work balancing. This problem is not only with you but with most of the people. You are over stressed between two lives. When you are in the office, you think about the family and when you are at home, you think about your work. Isn’t it?” “Yes, yes, sir” I answered to the mentor. “Sir how can I over come this situation?”

“Very simple.” 1. Be proactive. Using “Things To Do sheet” and planning for the next day at last night i.e. before the working day, you will become proactive.”
2. Work for 11 months and enjoy full 1 month.

“So, my dear, lovely wife, let’s decide from today that for 11 months you will not ask me anything and I will work only. And on 12th month, I will not ask and not go to work and will enjoy fully with you and son and family. No questions. Agree.”

After sometime, the wife nodded affirmatively i.e. yes. Now everyday nagging by wife was replaced with a smile in the hope that my husband will be free in 12th month of the year.

Every family function was attended with great fervour. No regrets, no complain. Always enthusiast wife, ready son and happy parents went and enjoyed the functions in the family circle.

11 months went by. 12th month came. Without anybody’s asking, a week prior to starting of 12 month, Subodh planned for family’s outing on a hill station. For a week, they stayed at the hill station, did hiking, tracking, enjoyed boating and river rafting. After a week when they came back, he had another plan. He and his wife joined a one week dancing classes. They learnt dancing together. Another plan, music and singing plus painting classes. All this made wife so happy that she does not speak a single word and waits patiently for this 12 months.
During the past 4 years, they have visited many hill stations and have known new people and new culture.

His wife one day came and told that she is planning to start Free classes for slum dwellers in teaching dancing and painting. Life is now has a purpose and meaning for the grumbling couple. Their son likes to live with grandparents. Grand parents for him are God. They love, laugh and always take care of him. Grandfather is always seen walking with the grandson. Grandson holding his grandfather’s finger feels as if he is fully safe and secure and nothing can happen to him.

Everyday, while praying to God for grace, Subhod thanks his mentor who with his guidance changed his dull life into really meaningful one.

Now after 28 years wait, India became World Champion of Cricket on 2th April, 2011 at Wankhede Statdium Bombay by beating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets. Sachin Tendulkar started his career 21 years back. India won the championship under the captancy of Mohinder Singh Dhoni and other key players are Yuvi, Bhajji, Nehra, Yusuf Pathan. President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil had a cup of tea with team India.

Semi final was played at Mohali between India and Pakistan. The semi final was watched by Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Gilani and Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India. Both expressed the hope of good relationship between two neighbouring countries. The age old (since 1947) rivalry and enemity covered by the media affects the minds of the young people. Muslims are also good humans. I have guru who is a Muslim. Dr. M.A.Zahir helped me in all ups and downs of my life. I touch the feet of three people with great reverence they are my papa, my mama and my Guru. Thereafter, my parents in law who have given me their beautiful, intelligent and wise daughter as wife.

I am blessed with two kids daughter Rimzhim Keshap, B.Sc., MBA and son Master Ankush Keshap a budding Tennis Player. I trust that one day he will bring laurels to India.
I love my country. I respect my country. I owe my life and achievement to my country. May God bless all the peace loving countries and people to flourish.
