SOUL SAVED

The she dog in our area gave birth to six puppies. The small young and tiny kids were very excited. They were wondering and smiling and feeling surprised at the blinking of the eyes by these small puppies. The ladies of the area were bringing milk for the newly born puppies and their mother. Some ladies brought carpet and an old bed sheet and tent was erected which served as temporary home for the newly born kids – quite cute.

The young small kids loved to touch the soft skin and hair of these newly born puppies.
Puppies were also moving from one side to another. Every time they make the move, the small kids create lot of shrieks and cries out of heart-felt happiness. I was much impressed from the kids’ reaction to the actions to the new guests on this planet Earth.

It was all about 3 months back.

It was raining heavily since last night and all the puppies were huddled in the open in their temporary tent. Throughout the night, it rained cats and dogs. One puppy kept on crying throughout the night. Today morning, I thought to check why was this small puppy crying. I went to their tent and found that one puppy – the crying one was out of the tent and water was pouring on it. It was trembling with cold caused by incessant rain.

I immediately understood why the puppy was crying. It was quite tiny to touch. I dared and picked it up in my hands, brought to the porch and dried it with a coarse cloth. But it was still trembling. I burnt some newspaper to give warmth to the puppy. It did help the puppy. White foam was coming out of its mouth. Perhaps due to excessive cold caused by heavy rain water poured on it during the last night. Its end appeared near. My soul shook and I gave a challenge to myself that I will save this small soul.

I burnt many old newspapers to keep the puppy warm. Then medicine was given. It was crying continuously. When observed keenly, it was found that its one leg was hurt and it was unable to move. May be, it was experiencing severe pain as whenever it tried it toppled on the side of the hurt leg.

My family and neighbor gathered and all started giving suggestions. I asked my wife to bring hot water bottle so that it may be kept in the box in which the puppy was kept. She favored and brought a plastic bottle of hot water. The puppy felt good by sleeping with this bottle of hot water and enjoyed its warmth. Medicine and milk was given.

It took us all about 4-5 hours to save the little soul. Now after 7 hours the puppy is sleeping in the carton with the hot water bottle. But, now, we all are at peace that the little soul is saved. We are feeling very good. Someone in the crowd that gathered around the puppy said: Saving a soul is better than praying thousand times.

_Prayer

One day I asked God,
Why do you snatch everything I like or ask?
God smiled and told
Your way (Andaz) of asking is really liked.

I have lot of time to listen to your prayer what you ask
Do have time to pray and ask

PRAYER

There is nothing that you cannot achieve by prayer.

“Payer has been the saving of my life,

without it,

I should have been a lunatic long ago.

I have my fair share in the bitterest of public and private experiences.

They threw me into temporary despair,

but if I was able to get rid of it, it was because of prayer.”

PROPER MEDITATION

Meditation goes a long way in helping us realize God. But we spend a great part of every day gossiping and indulging in meaningless conversations. Constant talking keeps us from resorting dhyana.

A bee buzzes around a flower searching for honey. As long as it is circling the flower, it doesn’t resort to drawing of honey from it. But the moment it stops buzzing and alights on the flower, it sucks honey.

Likewise, as long as we indulge about something or the other, we will never be able to approach God. But the moment we stop talking, we are able to introspect and ultimately, this kind of silent meditation is what will take us nearer to God, said D. Gnanasundram in a lecture.

God cannot be sought in books. Scholarship, cannot make a person God-realised. God has to be experienced. Once speech ceases, the process of understanding begins.

When we fry something in oil, a sizzling sound is heard, until whatever is being fried is done. After that, the oil stops spluttering. Similarly, a talkative person is shallow and is a half-baked seeker of God. Those who meditate on Him are the ones who will realize Him.

God is simple and, therefore, does not require us to resort to penance to reach Him. If He were so demanding, most of us would never be released from the cycle of births and deaths. He shows us the easy way of reaching Him, through prayer and meditation. Proper meditation comes only with practice.

There are many who make a mockery of vows of silence. Those who resort to maun vrata (fast of silence) are sometimes more distracted when they are silent than they are at other times. While they observe mauna vrata, they ask for paper and pen and write down their questions and observe.

This kind of writing sometimes is so extensive that it is obvious that the person observes the vrata as a formality. It is almost as if he could not wait for the period of silence to be over.

He is so involved to observing what is going on around him and can hardly wait to participate in the conversations others have.

Such a person’s silence will yield him no benefits.

PRAYER

Your prayers  are never lost.

They are always answered.

It is a question of time as when you realize it.

“Never was a faithful prayer lost.

Some prayers have a longer voyage than others,

But then they return with their richer lading at last.

So, that the praying soul is a gainer by  for an answer.”

PRAYER PAYS

Ajay Pandey
innervoice@hindustantimes.com

Prayer is the core of every religion. A moment of prayer is a moment of isolation, self-realisation and deep introspection. It makes one feel that no existence in this world is more than a drop in the ocean.

When you pray, not only do you accept the supremacy of God, you also surrender yourself in his service and seek his blessings. This is another subtle way to get rid of one’s ego and become more humane and accommodating.

Even if one is praying with so many people, he is actually not a part of any collective phenomenon . He is more like a discrete unit that has its own identity in an apparent continuum.

The gleam of hope an individual may be harboring in the gloomiest of times has its foundation emanating from faith and prayer. Those words uttered in private have an indefinable strength and the capacity to travel fast, very fast indeed.

In fact, it’s rightly believed that neither a bullet, nor sound, nor even light can march the pace of which a simple, pure, prayer travels.

It reaches God even before the individual says it.

It truly establishes a heart-to-heart contact between a human being and the supreme power.

No amount of external peace can take care of the turbulence within. The inner peace looks for solace through different instruments and mediums, and prayer is surely one of them. The responses to agonies of the past, the turmoil of present and the hopes linked to our future, all find a silently flowing expression in prayer and purpose of life starts become clearer and clearer.

Prayer might assume different forms but all forms, though different in expression, have the same objective – to bow to that supreme. A prayer is a strong weapon available to human beings to seek answers to their queries that more often than not appear to be baffling.

It’s our moral duty to inculcate the importance of faith and prayer in our coming generations because this is wherein lies the hope for the whole of human civilization for peaceful co-existence.

PRAYER IS A FREE CALL 2 GOD. No battery, no charging, no network problem, endless talk time. So pray to God and start your day. You will really feel fresh, happy and enlightening day by day.

Let all my friends be healthy and happy forever...!
GOD said: But for 4 days only....!
I said: Yes, let them be a Spring Day, Summer Day, Autumn Day, and Winter Day.
GOD said: 3 days.
I said: Yes, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
GOD said: No, 2 days!
I said: Yes, a Bright Day (Daytime) and Dark Day (Night-time).
GOD said: No, just 1 day!
I said: Yes!
GOD asked: Which day?
I said: Every Day in the living years of all my friends!
GOD laughed, and said: All your friends will be healthy and happy Every Day!
Send this to your friends and bless them with good health and happiness...
Pass on the warmth despite the ever-changing weather...
P.S.: GOD said Good friends must keep in contact!
