Cheques received from a debtor in par or full settlement of account are presented for payment to be recieved from debtor's banker.
There are 3 stages in the

Messrs X receives cheque from Messrs Y for say Rs. 10000/-

Messrs X presents the cheque in their account in their bank say Bank Z

Bank Z recieves the cheque and presents the cheque for payment in the Bank account of Messrs Y say Bank ZX.

Bank Z can make payment of Rs 10000/- only when the payment will be cleared by Bank ZX.
If the cheque is dishonoured by bank ZX, bank Z will refuse the payment to Messrs X.
Presenting cheque in the bank Z by Messrs X and getting it cleared from the banker i.e Bank ZX of Messrs Y takes time.

This time taken for clearance of cheques is referred to as Cheques presented in bank for clearance.

Cheque is an oeder to bank for defined amount of money NOT money.

For the creditor, it becomes money only when cleared from debtor's account.
Cheque may honour or it may dishonour.

Sometimes it takes 24 hours, others time more than 24 hours to clear the cheque by the drawee bank.
Digital system of clearing cheques has become easy.

यह शब्द बहुत से बिज़नेस मैन और उनके accountant कहते सुने गए हैं।
क्या है इस बाकया का अर्थ।
उदाहरण से समझना आसान रहेगा।

मान ले आपकी फर्म X है और आपने फर्म Y से पैसे लेने हैं। 10000 रुपये।
फर्म Y का बैंक Z है। जबकि आपका ZX.

फर्म Y ने आपको 10000 रुपये का चैक दे कर हिसाब चुकता कर दिया।
यह cheque आपके पास है। 10000रुपए नहीँ ।
क्योंकि चैक तब रुपये बनेगा जब आप को आपका बैंक कहेगा कि आपका लगाया Y का चैक पास हो गया है।
अब इसमें 3 स्टेप हैं।

Step 1: आपने बैंक स्लिप भरी और चैक अपने बैंक में लगा दिया यानी प्रेजेंट कर दिया।
Step 2: आपके बैंक ने बैंक स्लिप अपने
पास रख ली और जिस बैंक (ZX) को चैक क्लियर करने के लिए भेज दिया।
Step 3: बैंक ZX ने यदि Y के खाते में पैसे है तो चेक पास कर देगा और आपको पैसे मिल जाएंगे यदि Y के खाते में।पैसे नहीँ हैं तो चैक बापिस आ जायेगा और आपको पैसे नहीँ मिलेगा।
इस process में 24 घन्टे के करीब लग जाते हैं । कई बार इससे ज्यादा भी। इसे Cheque issue but not cleared कहते हैं ।
